Signatures

What are original signatures and when are they required?

An original signature is a handwritten signature, which must be written by hand with ink on paper.

You will need original signatures on your:

  • Supervision agreement
  • Target agreement

If, for logistical reasons, you are unable to provide all original signatures at the time of registration of your doctoral project, you may submit the originals at the time of submission of your thesis.
Attention: The original signatures must be provided at the latest when submitting your dissertation, otherwise the thesis cannot be accepted!

For all other documents that are part of the registration and supervision of your dissertation, electronic signatures or scans of the signatures from the members of your supervisory committee are sufficient.

Please be aware, that you need the original signature of your supervisor on the application for the doctoral scholarship of the Faculty of Medicine.
