At the Faculty of Medicine of the LMU Munich, you have the opportunity to obtain a cumulative doctorate, ie to write a publication-based thesis. For this it is necessary to publish articles in journals etc. The official guidelines of the Faculty of Medicine concerning the cumulative doctorate can be found in the Downloads and Information section.
Unfortunately, in addition to the renowned and quality-assured journals and publishers, there are also a large number of dubious providers who do not apply the process of peer-reviews. Often these so-called predatory journals cannot be identified as such at first glance, because they deliberately use components of renowned journals´ names.
