Completion of the Procedure
After the successful completion of your oral defense, you will be given an information sheet on the remaining procedure and a revised version of the cover page of your dissertation. Doctoral theses that are no longer required by the doctoral office will be destroyed subject to objection.
You must submit two printed and bound copies, as well as an electronic version of the thesis within one year to the "Dissertationsstelle". All information on the submission of the statutory copies can be found on the University Library's website.

Doctoral Certificate
our doctor's certificate is only issued upon submission of the statutory copies (including the copy signed by the supervisor) and will be sent to you via registered mail by the Doctoral Office the earliest 4 weeks upon delivery of the statutory copies. Upon request, the certificate can be handed out by your supervisor.
Doctoral Title
The use of the title "Dr. rer. biol. hum." is only authorised upon receiving your doctor's certificate.
