Doctoral Degree in Dental Medicine (Dr. med. dent.)
All doctoral research projects that have been registered until and including 30.09.2018 by submission of a signed supervision agreement, will be carried out according to the Examination Regulations in the 11th amendment from 15.09.2016 (see "Dr. med. (old)").
All doctoral research projects that have been/are registered on and after 01.10.2018 by submission of a signed supervision agreement, will be carried out according to the new Examination Regulations from 27.09.2018 (see "Dr. med. (new)").
PLEASE NOTE:
Crucial for this is the submission of the supervision agreement. Doctoral research projects that have been registered accordingly by submission of the supervision agreement by September 30th, 2018, are not affected by the new Examination Regulations.
Supervision agreements that were/are submitted on October 1st, 2018 or after, will be carried out according to the new Examination Regulations (structured doctoral degree), regardless of the date specified on the supervision agreement.

Doctoral research projects registered until 30.09.2018 can be carried out and completed according to the previously valid Examination Regulations.
Dr. med. dent. (new)
All doctoral research projects registered on and after 01.10.2018 will be carried out and completed in accordance with the new Examination Regulations, which have come into effect on that day.
